[CSGO] Bug Fixes – 19th January 2017

The Advantage Tool for CSGO

Your feedback since the release of our CSGO Hack for Mac has been extremely valuable, and we’re already working hard on both fixes and improvements. The following are the changes released this week, applicable to the CSGO version of our Advantage Tool:

Enhancements

  • Improved TriggerBot reliability – enemy detection is now much faster.
  • Improved TriggerBot reaction-time – shots are now fired much faster after an enemy is detected, at an increased rate. In future this will be dynamic depending on the currently equipped weapon.
  • Added Automatic Update functionality – the tool will now automatically check for updates and prompt the user if one is available. Updates can be automatically downloaded and installed without leaving the tool – the process is fully automated.
  • Added manual update check button in Help menu within menubar.

Fixes

  • Fixed memory leak in bunnyhop workflow.
  • Corrected auto-update issue, where prompt might prevent tool from launching correctly with the necessary privileges.
  • Fixed issue where TriggerBot activity would directly conflict with ESP, causing a flashing effect while TriggerBot is firing.
  • Fixed issue where BunnyHop might impact TriggerBot reliability.

These fixes are rolled into The CSGO Advantage Tool version 2.2.22, available from the members page:

https://www.csgomachacks.com/members

Automatic updates are available from this version onwards, meaning future update notifications will happen automatically while the CSGO tool is used. If available, these updates can then be automatically installed from the tool interface without needing to visit our website. Please note that versions before 2.2.22 are not able to automatically update.

Thank you for all the feedback – keep it coming!

The Advantage Tool – Now Available for Counter Strike: Global Offensive

It’s here! We’re pleased to announce that by popular demand, the advantage tool is now available for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, on our brand-new website: csgomachacks.com!

All of our advantage tools are available to all our customers who have an active membership. Your active membership supports our hard work and ensures the future of our developments. As long as your membership is active, you have full access to all of our currently available advantage tools, under one unified membership. No extra charges, no extra procedures.

This release is the result of months of hard work and testing, but this only the beginning. The foundation is set, and the initial features are in-place. This release embodies a continuation of our vision: to deliver a competitive advantage to your active gameplay, empowering you to better succeed.

Right now, the Advantage Tool for Counter Strike Global Offensive is capable of the following features.

ESP – Enemy Tagging

  • ESP highlights enemies.
  • ESP changes colour based on enemy health.
  • ESP highlights enemies through obstacles and walls, when the game provides the information to do so.
  • ESP highlights enemies through visual special-effects (e.g. smoke grenade).

Reduced Flash

  • Detects flash grenades when they affect the player.
  • Reduces the effect of flash grenades as they happen.
  • Displays the initial trigger when a flash grenade explodes
    • You’ll see that a flash grenade exploded.
    • Your vision won’t be affected by flash grenades.

TriggerBot

  • Automatically fires as soon as enemy enters crosshair.
  • Allies in crosshair are ignored.
  • Keeps firing as long as enemy remains in crosshair.

Bunny Hop

  • Triggers perfectly timed jumps when the spacebar is held, keeping you bouncing.

Interface

  • The main interface has a summary tab, presenting the state of the primary features, as well as a global kill-switch to toggle the state of the tool.
  • Individual tabs contain individual switches for each feature.
  • Future customization options will be exposed in each feature tab, in the near future.
  • Each option has a helper button, which provides more detailed information, as well as the hotkey bound to that feature:
  • The CSGO tool was built on top of our AdvantageTool framework. Features that aren’t game specific, such as the activation workflow, tutorial, and embedded support contact options, will remain consistent across all our tools.

Hotkeys

  • All features can be toggled from the interface.
  • All features can also be toggled in-game, using predefined hotkeys.
  • The help option next to each feature displays the predefined hotkey for that feature.
  • In future, the hotkeys will be customizable. They are currently hardcoded.

What’s Next – CSGO?

This research and development that led to this release comes with thanks to our customers, some of whom have generously supported us since 2013. This is only the beginning, for all our tools, and much work is left to be done. The features within our CSGO tool have much room for enhancement.

The feature-specific tabs of the interface will also be a place to further customize each feature. Customization options are not yet ready (at the time of writing this), but will be added in a future release, as well as additional features.

What’s Next – COD4?

We will continue developing and enhancing the original Advantage Tool for Call of Duty 4. The COD4 Advantage Tool, and the support it has received from our customers, made the expansion into CSGO possible. To this day customers are still actively using the COD4 Advantage Tool regularly. As long as interest in the COD4 tool remains, we’ll continue both maintaining and enhancing the tool for COD4.

Concluding Statement

There is much to do and much to be said. This is it for now, we’ll provide more updates on our developments as they bear fruit. COD4 and CSGO won’t be the only games in contact with the Advantage Tool for Mac.

Customers have already contacted us about other games. If you’re interested in seeing the Advantage Tool available for a favourite game of yours, we encourage you to contact us! We might already be working on it. If not, we’ll invite you for beta testing once we have anything available.

Happy new year, and thank you for the continued support!

Tutorial: Using the new easy account generator and restoring backups

As part of our mission to not just add new features, but also to improve our existing features, we released a completely rebuilt advantage tool early last year. Our COD4 Advantage tool is available from our dedicated COD4 website or on our home page:

As of January 2017, we also have an Advantage Tool available for Counter Strike Global Offensive, available from the dedicated CSGO website or our home page:

One of the improvements in our COD4 Advantage Tool is a redesign in how the easy account generator works.

What is the Easy Account Generator?

In case you’re new to it, the easy account generator is a feature of the advantage tool for Call of Duty 4 that generates a level 55 profile for the multiplayer part of the game, with all unlockable items completely unlocked. While doing so, it leaves almost all achievements untouched (so you can still enjoy working your way through them)!

We have a short trailer of this feature:

I have the tool, how do I use the generator?

The following steps guide you on using the redesigned account generator:

  1. Open The Advantage Tool for COD4.
  2. From the menu-bar, select Tools -> Easy Account Generator:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-36-34
  3. The tool will immediately scan your game profiles, and present the new easy account generator interface:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-37-34
  4. The rest is almost automatic! Select the profile you want to boost to level55 and click “Go“.
  5. That’s it! At this stage the following screen will show if everything was successful:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-39-29
  6. Launch Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer and select your profile to begin enjoying your new level 55 account.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Account Generation Failed

On rare occasions something unexpected can happen and the generation process may fail, with an error similar to this:

screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-43-08

These are two possible solutions to this error:

  1. If the game is running while you tried to use the account generator, close both the game and tool, and try to use the generator again while the game is still closed.
    • Important: ensure the game is closed before trying to use the generator.
    • If the game is running and currently using your profile, the files used by the generator may be in an unexpected format. Should this happen, the tool will detect it and refuse to continue as a fail safe.
    • This is to protect your save and prevent corruption.
  2. If the issue persists, try to create a new profile in the game.
    1. Open Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer.
    2. If you’re already in-game, from the main menu click on “Select Profile“.
    3. Click “New” and enter a name to create a new profile.
    4. Select your new profile in-game.
    5. Important: before using the account generator, connect to any server using the new game profile:
      • Click “Start new server” from the main menu.
      • Make sure “Dedicated:” is set to “No“.
      • Click start to start the server.
      • When the map loads, click “Auto-Assign” and choose any class to join the game.
    6. Once you have joined the game, you can safely disconnect from the menu (Escape -> Leave Game).
    7. Once you’re back in the main menu, you can quit the game and try to use the account generator again.

Connecting to a new server after creating a new profile ensures that your game save has all the files needed for account generation.

Restoring Previous Profiles

One of the essential features of the newly redesigned easy account generator, included with the V2 Advantage Tool for COD4, is the backup process. Anytime you use the account generator on a COD4 profile, the generator makes a backup of your profile before making any changes.

To find your profile backups, follow these steps:

  1. Switch to Finder:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-18-57-17
  2. From the menu-bar, select Go -> Go to Folder…
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-18-58-45
  3. Paste the following into the textfield that appears and hit Go:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/

Note: this location applies to the Mac App Store version of the game, and may vary for other versions of the game. Contact support if you can’t find the right place.

  4. You should now see contents similar to the following:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-56-30
  5. The “backups” folder was created by the advantage tool, and contains full backups of your profile before the advantage tool made any changes:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-58-04
  6. MGH” is the name of the profile the account generator was used on today (17 December 2016). To restore this profile, simply drag the “MGH” folder to the players/profiles/ folder:
    profiles
  7. That’s it! Launch Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer to see your changes.

Tutorial: What to do if the tool or game crashes?

Viewing the crash reports as it happens

Crash reports are generated automatically when an application on MacOS X crashes / closes unexpectedly. When this first happens, a window such as the following may appear:

finder-crash-mac-os-x

The easiest way to view the crash report is to simply click the “Report…” button. This will open a more detailed view with two text areas:

adt-quit-unexpectedly-chrashing-error-mac-osx-eclipse

The box with the technical details contains the crash report. If you make a copy of this, you can send this to use either in an email or in a text file attached to an email.

Viewing older crash reports

There are occasions where the popup “appname quit unexpectedly” doesn’t appear. In that situation, crash reports can be manually located using Finder.

Follow these steps to find your crash reports:

  1. Switch to Finder:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-18-57-17
  2. From the menubar, select File -> Go to Folder…
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-18-58-45
  3. A window will appear with a text field. Paste the following into the text field:

    ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/

This is how it should look:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-01-38

  4. Hit “Go” and you should now be in the folder called DiagnosticReports:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-02-56
  5. Select all files that mention the advantage tool (or COD4 if your game is crashing) using cmd + click.
  6. Once you’ve selected all related files you would like us to review, create an archive of these files using File -> Compress X Items from the menu-bar:
    screen-shot-2016-12-17-at-19-05-38
  7. This will create a file in the same folder, with the name “Archive.zip“. This is a compressed archive containing all the files selected in step 5.
  8. Email this archive as an attachment to us, and provide details on the steps you took before the crash happened:
