The following are the changes released this week, applicable only to the Call of Duty 4 version of our Advantage Tool. These fixes are purely server-side fixes, meaning you don’t need to upload your copy of the advantage tool. Thank you to the users who have reported some of the issues addressed in this release.
Several users have reported this week that our COD4 Advantage Tool wasn’t affecting their game anymore after the calibration process:
This was due to a defect in one of our servers that was only present over the past 7 days. Fortunately not all of our users were affected, and the root cause has now been identified & fixed. This is in particular with thanks to two users who have quickly reported this issue and helped with further testing.
The tool calibration now successfully completes and once again displays the welcome message in the game console to indicate a successful injection:
We aim to provide the best service that we can to our customers, and this week unfortunately did not meet the high standards that we aim to provide. If you were affected by this issue, we encourage you to contact us.

Fixes
Fixed issue causing “update required” message to display when trying to use the Easy Account Generator before the game was opened.
Note: Due to the way the account generator works, we recommend that the game remains closed before the account generator is used, as the game may otherwise cause a decryption error (ER#7) in the EAG workflow.
Fixed flaw in activation logic when attempting to use easy account generator with game open, that might incorrectly throw a sporadic connection error message.
Fixed consistent ER#1 decryption failed error when trying to use Easy Account Generator in the 2.2.9 COD4 Advantage Tool update.
This weeks fixes surround the EAG issues reported by some of our customers. Thank you for making us aware of these issues, the EAG should once again be fully functional with the conclusion of today’s maintenance period. If you were unable to use the easy account generator included with our COD4 Advantage Tool, please try again. If issues persist, please refer to these troubleshooting steps.
We’re continually working to improve and enhance our services. Please let us know if you come across any other issues, in case we’re not already aware of them.

This post is to announce a maintenance period of our backend services, in our efforts to address sporadic issues affecting the Easy Account Generator included with our Call of Duty 4 Advantage Tool.
Issue Background
Some users are currently unable to make use of the Easy Account Generator included with our COD4 Advantage Tool, with the following error being shown:
We have identified the root cause for this error to be a bug in our server-side APIs. Only the EAG is affected, all other features of our advantage tools remain functional.
Maintenance Period
During this maintenance period, all our advantage tools (COD4 & CSGO) may face temporary connection errors or false “update required” alerts. Any connection errors caused by this should not last longer than a minute. If you’re affected by these during your use of our advantage tools, please simply try again.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause – we’re working hard to enhance and continually improve the reliability of our services for all our customers. We thank you for your understanding.
Edit: The maintenance period is over and the COD4 Easy Account Generator bug has been fixed. If you were unable to use the easy account generator included with our COD4 Advantage Tool, please try again. If issues persist, please refer to these troubleshooting steps.
Your feedback since the release of our CSGO Hack for Mac has been extremely valuable, and we’re working hard on both fixes and improvements. The following are the changes released this week, applicable to the CSGO version of our Advantage Tool. These changes are available as of version 2.2.24 of our CSGO Hack for Mac:
Fixes
Corrected a recursion in the game detection engine, normally triggered to check if the game is already running after the tool is launched.
Corrected null or vague warning alerts, such as the null #TC7 error thrown after the game received an update and our recalibration process isn’t yet complete.
This should now display a more detailed and helpful message if something doesn’t go as expected.
Note that with each CSGO update we have to recalibrate our services. This is still a manual process, but we’re working to streamline and automate this in future.
Corrected a miscalibration issue affecting some Macs, resulting in partially functioning or nonfunctioning features.
Enhancements
Improved performance and reduced CPU usage for TriggerBot, when TriggerBot is enabled but CAPS lock isn’t enabled.
Slight performance tuning in overall TriggerBot engine.
New Settings
Exposed a setting to control whether TriggerBot requires CAPS lock to be enabled.
Some users have reported dislike for the CAPS lock requirement, this feature allows users to disable it.
This CAPS lock requirement for the TriggerBot is enabled by default as it gives a visual view over whether the TriggerBot is currently enabled, as well as an intuitive quick-toggle when it isn’t needed.

As part of our mission to not just add new features, but also to improve our existing features, we released a completely rebuilt advantage tool early last year. Our COD4 Advantage tool is available from our dedicated COD4 website or on our home page:
As of January 2017, we also have an Advantage Tool available for Counter Strike Global Offensive, available from the dedicated CSGO website or our home page:
One of the improvements in our COD4 Advantage Tool is a redesign in how the easy account generator works.
What is the Easy Account Generator?
In case you’re new to it, the easy account generator is a feature of the advantage tool for Call of Duty 4 that generates a level 55 profile for the multiplayer part of the game, with all unlockable items completely unlocked. While doing so, it leaves almost all achievements untouched (so you can still enjoy working your way through them)!
We have a short trailer of this feature:
I have the tool, how do I use the generator?
The following steps guide you on using the redesigned account generator:
Open The Advantage Tool for COD4.
From the menu-bar, select Tools -> Easy Account Generator:
The tool will immediately scan your game profiles, and present the new easy account generator interface:
The rest is almost automatic! Select the profile you want to boost to level55 and click “Go“.
That’s it! At this stage the following screen will show if everything was successful:
Launch Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer and select your profile to begin enjoying your new level 55 account.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Account Generation Failed
On rare occasions something unexpected can happen and the generation process may fail, with an error similar to this:
These are two possible solutions to this error:
If the game is running while you tried to use the account generator, close both the game and tool, and try to use the generator again while the game is still closed.
Important: ensure the game is closed before trying to use the generator.
If the game is running and currently using your profile, the files used by the generator may be in an unexpected format. Should this happen, the tool will detect it and refuse to continue as a fail safe.
This is to protect your save and prevent corruption.
If the issue persists, try to create a new profile in the game.
Open Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer.
If you’re already in-game, from the main menu click on “Select Profile“.
Click “New” and enter a name to create a new profile.
Select your new profile in-game.
Important: before using the account generator, connect to any server using the new game profile:
Click “Start new server” from the main menu.
Make sure “Dedicated:” is set to “No“.
Click start to start the server.
When the map loads, click “Auto-Assign” and choose any class to join the game.
Once you have joined the game, you can safely disconnect from the menu (Escape -> Leave Game).
Once you’re back in the main menu, you can quit the game and try to use the account generator again.
Connecting to a new server after creating a new profile ensures that your game save has all the files needed for account generation.
Restoring Previous Profiles
One of the essential features of the newly redesigned easy account generator, included with the V2 Advantage Tool for COD4, is the backup process. Anytime you use the account generator on a COD4 profile, the generator makes a backup of your profile before making any changes.
To find your profile backups, follow these steps:
Switch to Finder:
From the menu-bar, select Go -> Go to Folder…
Paste the following into the textfield that appears and hit Go:
~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/
Note: this location applies to the Mac App Store version of the game, and may vary for other versions of the game. Contact support if you can’t find the right place.
You should now see contents similar to the following:
The “backups” folder was created by the advantage tool, and contains full backups of your profile before the advantage tool made any changes:
“MGH” is the name of the profile the account generator was used on today (17 December 2016). To restore this profile, simply drag the “MGH” folder to the players/profiles/ folder:
That’s it! Launch Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer to see your changes.
